The Montreal Canadiens and goalie Carey Price agreed to an eight-year contract extension on Sunday, the team announced.

The deal between Canadiens and Price is worth $84 million and will kick in at the end of the 2018-19 season and run through the 2025-26 season. According to TSN, Price’s deal will be a $105 million cap hit per season.

The extension will make Price the highest paid goalie in the league, $2 million more than the New York Rangers’ Henrik Lundqvist.
