The Los Angeles Dodgers have the most exciting young batter, Cody Bellinger, and the best pitcher, Alex Wood, in the National League and neither one of them will be starting in the All-Star Game in Miami next week.

Bellinger and Corey Seager were named as National League reserves. Clayton Kershaw and Kenley Jansen were among the National League pitchers selected to the All-Star Game. Wood, who is 9-0 with a 1.83 ERA and a 2.11 FIP, was not selected to the team.

The Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies have been vying for the National League West Division title all season long and for the Dodgers to only have four all-stars and two of them coming off the bench is a total farce. Wood and Justin Turner were snubbed.
