It was indicated earlier in the week that free-agent goalie Steve Mason was going to leave the Philadelphia Flyers once free agency opened.

The Winnipeg Free Press reported Friday that it was all-but-a-done deal for Mason to sign with the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.

Mason had a 90 percent save percentage with the Flyers last season and won 26 games between the pipes. Should he actually commit to a deal with the Jets, he would likely share time with Connor Hellebuyck.
