The New Orleans Pelicans and Jrue Holiday agreed to a five-year, $126 million contract on Saturday, ESPN reported.
Holiday’s contract could be worth up to $150 million with bonuses, according to the report. Holiday’s contract also has a player option on the fifth year.
New Orleans’ main priority this offseason was to lockup Holiday in a move that would seem to appease Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins if they ever think about leaving the team.
Holiday averaged 15.4 points and 7.3 assists in 67 games with the Pelicans last season. He has spent four years with New Orleans and is entering his age-27 season.
