If you think this year’s NBA free agency period is nuts, just wait until next year when even bigger names are going to hit the market.
Paul George is on that list of free agents and even though he was acquired by the Oklahoma City Thunder, there is still a good chance he signs with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that George still intends to sign with the Lakers next year. The report said because he knows that, the Lakers do not have much incentive of trading for him now and giving up some of its young players when they could just go and sign him.
The Indiana Pacers traded George to the Thunder earlier Friday for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis — a trade that really shocked the NBA world.
