The Buffalo Sabres acquired Jason Pominville, Marco Scandella, and a 2018 fourth-round pick from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Tyler Ennis, Marcus Foligno, and a 2018 third-round pick, NHL.com reported Friday.
Pominville will be able to return to the team that gave him a chance to go out on the ice and perform. He put up some really good numbers with the Sabres from 2003 to 2013. He recorded 185 goals in 575 games for the Sabres in that span. Last season, with the Wild, he put up only 13 goals in 78 games.
Pominville was the big piece of the trade. Scandell had 89 points for the Wild last season and will be a nice addition to the Sabres squad.
The Wild get a player in Ennis who only played in 51 games last season because of a groin injury. But is still relatively young, only at age 27. Foligno played in 80 games and is only 25 years old. He recorded 13 goals for Buffalo last season.
