The New Orleans Pelicans are expected to retain Jrue Holiday when free agency opens up Saturday, ESPN reported Friday.

The report said the Pelicans are going to move quickly to sign Holiday to a “rich” five-year deal.

It is likely the Pelicans will sign Holiday to a max contract for five years and $144 million. The goal now would be to help lead the two towers in the front court — Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins — to the playoffs.
