The San Antonio Spurs and guard Patty Mills agreed to a four-year, $50 million contract, ESPN reported Friday.

Mills is likely going to get the majority of the minutes for the Spurs as Tony Parker recovers from a devastating leg injury he suffered in the playoffs last season.

The Australian native has played a pivotal role for the Spurs ever since joining the team in 2011. Last season, he averaged 9.5 points and a career-high 0.8 steals. The combination of his offense and defensive ability was definitely a reason why San Antonio brought him back.
