The Charlotte Hornets declined a $6.27 million team option on guard Ramon Sessions, the Charlotte Observer reported Thursday.
Sessions did not cut it as the Hornets’ backup point guard. He averaged 6.2 points and 2.6 assists in 50 games. He was coming off a season with the Washington Wizards where he played in all 82 games.
Charlotte was strapped for cash anyway. NBC Sports noted the team still needs to sign second-round pick Dwayne Bacon.
