The New Orleans Pelicans’ time to win is now. The team acquired DeMarcus Cousins before the trade deadline in February and it appears New Orleans really needs to win before the front office gets gutted.
Free agent Jrue Holiday is in GM Dell Demps‘ plans, but because he is an unrestricted free agent Demps will have a limited amount of time to make his pitch to Holiday. Luckily, Holiday is giving New Orleans the first meeting, according to The Vertical on Thursday.
Holiday will meet with New Orleans at 12:01 a.m. ET Saturday and then take other meetings in the first two days of free agency, according to the report.
Should New Orleans decide to give Holiday a max deal, it would come at a five-year, $144 million price tag.
