The New York Yankees placed designated hitter Matt Holliday on the 10-day disabled list, the team announced Wednesday.

Holliday told manager Joe Girardi that he felt like “someone zapped him of his energy,” MLB.com reported. It turns about Holliday was suffering from a viral infection and now will miss over a week.

The 37-year-old is batting .262/.366/.511 with 15 home runs and 47 RBI.

The Yankees recalled infielder Miguel Andujar from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and outrighted Chris Carter there.
