The New York Yankees placed designated hitter Matt Holliday on the 10-day disabled list, the team announced Wednesday.

Holliday told manager Joe Girardi that he felt like “someone zapped him of his energy,” reported. It turns about Holliday was suffering from a viral infection and now will miss over a week.

The 37-year-old is batting .262/.366/.511 with 15 home runs and 47 RBI.

The Yankees recalled infielder Miguel Andujar from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and outrighted Chris Carter there.
