The New York Knicks still would like to trade Carmelo Anthony even despite Phil Jackson leaving the organization, The Vertical reported Wednesday.

The Knicks do not want to buyout the remaining years of Anthony’s contract. Anthony has been the subject of trade talks surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was also learned he was offered to the Los Angeles Clippers and it was declined.

Anthony is getting up there in age and it does not look like he would even want to leave unless he was going to a sure thing. The Cavaliers may have been able to acquire Anthony if it wasn’t for the Knicks not wanting to take Kevin Love.

The gold medalist averaged 22.4 points and 5.9 rebounds in 74 games for the Knicks last season.
