Several teams are reportedly interested in signing 33-year-old Andre Iguodala once the free-agent market opens this weekend.
ESPN reported Tuesday the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz are interested in signing one of the Golden State Warriors’ key defenders. However, it is not known if Iguodala would take meetings with any other team but Golden State.
It would make the most sense, out of all the possible landing spots, for Iguodala to sign with the Clippers. Jerry West is now consulting the front office on who to bring in and because of the Warriors ties the Staples Center would be a good spot.
It will also be interesting to see how many years Iguodala would want. He may be seeking another four-year deal, but at 33 it may not be ideal for any team to signing him through age 37. This development is one of the bigger storylines this offseason.
