The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly pulled in a third team for a trade to acquire Paul George.

ESPN reported the Cavaliers, the Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets talked a trade that would have sent George to Cleveland and Kevin Love to Denver leading up to the NBA Draft but could not get a deal done.

According to the report, the Cavaliers are not abandoning its pursuit of George and are a lead contender to acquire Carmelo Anthony from the New York Knicks.

The Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics reportedly were in the mix for George.
