The San Antonio Spurs are really hot on the trail of Chris Paul and so much so that the organization is reportedly willing to trade forward LaMarcus Aldridge to clear enough cap space to sign Paul.

ESPN reported Thursday the Spurs are looking for a top-1o pick for Aldridge. San Antonio received some bad news after the NBA announced its salary cap was decreasing to $99 million, which means the Spurs will have to trade Aldridge and Danny Green to sign Paul.

Aldridge was notably called out by coach Gregg Popovich during the playoffs because of his poor play.

The Spurs were swept in the Western Conference Finals by the Golden State Warriors.
