The San Antonio Spurs are appearing to make the necessary moves to go after free agent guard Chris Paul.

Jabari Young of the San Antonio Express-News reported the Spurs are open to trading Danny Green, but no deal is close as of right now.

Green has played a huge role with the Spurs. He has been the team’s deadly three-point shooter, even having a helping hand in defeating the LeBron James-led Miami Heat in the 2014 NBA Finals.

He now may become a casualty of a heating free agent market.

Last season, Green averaged 7.3 points in 68 games for the Spurs.
