Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid was announced as the winner of the Ted Lindsay Award on Wednesday. The award is given to the most outstanding player in the NHL as voted by the league’s players association.

McDavid, 20, is quickly becoming the star of the NHL. In his second season with the Oilers, he scored 30 goals and led the league with 70 assists and 100 points.

McDavid already won the Art Ross Trophy this year.
