Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers is vowing to keep point guard Chris Paul in L.A. even despite rumors that the San Antonio Spurs are going to pursue him in the offseason.

TMZ Sports reported Saturday that Rivers “absolutely expects” Paul to re-sign with the Clippers.

According to Basketball Insiders, Paul can opt out of his career and deal and re-sign with the Clippers for a max contract of $205 million. The report said Paul and the Clippers verbally agreed to that deal.
