Point guards are going to be a hot commodity once free agency opens in a month and a half and the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to target Derrick Rose, ESPN reported Wednesday.

Rose had a nice bounce-back season with the New York Knicks. He averaged 18 points and 4.4 assists in 64 games for New York, but definitely had a rocky relationship with the front office and coach Jeff Hornacek.

The Spurs and Timberwolves could definitely use more point guard help and with the Spurs already having reported interest in Chris Paul, it may be easier for Minnesota to get someone like Rose, who could also command less money.
