Golden State Warriors general manager Travis Schlenk is leaving the team to take the Atlanta Hawks’ general manager job, ESPN reported Wednesday. The deal is expected to be finalized by Thursday.

Schlenk helped build the Warriors to what it is over the last five seasons. He spent time as the director of player personnel for the Warriors before being promoted to general manager.

He will take over the job left open by Mike Budenholzer, who decided to focus on head coaching.
