It was a pretty embarrassing Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final on Sunday. The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Ottawa Senators 7-0 in one of the worst defeats of the NHL Playoffs this year.
The Penguins were led by goals from Sidney Crosby, Trevor Daley, Matt Cullen, Phil Kessel, Olli Maatta, Bryan Rust and Scott Wilson. Four of the Penguins’ seven goals were scored in the first period. It was not really much of a game from there.
Ottawa only got 25 shots on goal against Penguins keeper Matt Murray. On the other side, Ottawa started with Craig Anderson and finished the game with Mike Condon. Neither goalkeeper could keep the Penguins from scoring.
Now, the series turns its focus on the reigning Stanley Cup champions. One more win and they are back in the Stanley Cup Final — an unbelievable dynastic run continues.
