The Toronto Blue Jays placed right-handed pitcher Aaron Sanchez on the 10-day disabled list Saturday with a middle finger laceration.

Sanchez suffered in the injury after the team’s loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. He told reporters he was feeling a lot of pain in his finger during the game.

“It’s a blister thing. We want to knock it out. It’s aggravating him. If we don’t get rid of it then it’ll probably linger forever,” manager John Gibbons said.

The 24-year-old is 2-3 with a 3.33 ERA. This is third stint on the disabled list this year.
