Every sports fan who wakes up at 6 a.m. knows that when they turn on their radio or flip on ESPN 2 while getting ready for work knows that the “Mike & Mike” show has been a staple in ESPN’s programming for years. However, those who have been informed about the top radio show knows that it is coming to an end.

Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic are in fact splitting up to do different things and it looks like Golic is going to continue to do radio, but with a different host.

The New York Daily News reported Saturday that Trey Wingo will be joining Golic on a new radio show. Wingo has been with ESPN since 1997, survived the recent round of layoffs and was tapped to replace Chris Berman on the NFL pregame show Sundays during the season.

The Daily News added that Mike Golic Jr. will be apart of the future.

ESPN executives are planning to unveil this new lineup to investors come May 16. I’m sure we will hear more about it in 13 days.
