ESPN is in a state of flux and the tidal wave of layoffs is not discriminating against anyone. NFL reporter Adam Caplan announced Tuesday that he is leaving the company.
Caplan has not been with ESPN as long as some of the others have, but his departure is a shakeup for some of the company’s cornerstone shows like “NFL Insiders” and “NFL Live,” as well as seeing him on the pregame shows Sunday morning.
Andrew Brandt was another name who was let go earlier Tuesday. Brandt was a front office reporter on the NFL side for the worldwide leader.
Meanwhile, as ESPN makes cuts, the company seems to have the inside track on a major deal with a star NBA reporter.
