The New York Mets will place outfielder Yoenis Cespedes on the 10-day disabled list with a hamstring injury, Fan Rag Sports reported Friday. Cespedes injured his hamstring running the bases Thursday and was forced to leave the game.

The injury is the latest debacle in the string of issues the Mets have had to deal with early in the season. Cespedes gets to join the list of injured Mets with David Wright, Lucas Duda, Wilmer Flores, Steven Matz, Seth Lugo and Noah Syndergaard.

The injury is especially crushing before Cespedes already had six homers to his total this season. New York loses a lot of power in his absence.
