It looks like whoever is running the Chicago Bears does not seem to care about what is head coach thinks about the team’s plans for the draft.
ESPN reported Friday that Bears GM Ryan Pace kept coach John Fox out of the loop when deciding to go after Mitchell Trubisky with the No. 2 pick after it had acquired it from the San Francisco 49ers for a ransom of picks. Fox did not know the plan until hours prior to the selection.
It’s a bold move for an organization that hasn’t won anything in quite sometime. Plus, as Pro Football Talk pointed out, when it comes to Fox and being on different pages things do not usually turn out well.
As for Pace, he defended the decision, which is also a bit unreal.
So its a good thing Trubisky is starting his professional career in a stable environment.
Oh yeah, what’s happening with Mike Glennon again?
