The debate about the top wide receiver in the NFL is intense. The Tennessee Titans may have made a surprise selection with the No. 5 pick. The Titans took wide receiver Corey Davis at that slot. Davis, a former Western Michigan standout, was right up at the top there with John Ross and Mike Williams. The Titans decided to sacrifice the defensive talent that was still on the board and take a solid offensive player who will become Marcus Mariota‘s top target coming off the line of scrimmage. The pick also alleviates some pressure off of Demarco Murray who had a lot of the load put onto him last season when he was acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles.
