The Chicago Bears jumped from the No. 3 spot to the No. 2 slot in the NFL Draft on Thursday to select quarterback Mitchell Trubisky from North Carolina. The Bears traded the Nos.3, 67, 111 picks and a 2018 third-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for the third selection. The Trubisky selection comes after Chicago signed Mike Glennon to a long-term contract. Glennon is now the bridge quarterback between Trubisky and the Bears’ future. A lot of concern has spread around Trubisky because of his lack of starts at college for the Tar Heels, but it is clear that the Bears did not see anything wrong during his workouts and now have a future in place.
