It is amazing how much things change once draft day hits. Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey shot up the draft and landed in the top 10 Thursday when the Carolina Panthers took him with the No. 8 pick. McCaffrey, the son of Super Bowl champion Ed McCaffrey, will be force to be reckon with in the backfield for the Panthers. He is one of those types of running backs that can run north and south, catch the ball and give you a ton of yards after it. He is also a fearsome bruiser who the Panthers could possibly package in a third-down role early in his career. Cam Newton will be happy to have him.
