San Francisco 49ers GM John Lynch said Wednesday the team has received interest in the No. 2 pick.
“There’s the traditional trade chart. We’ve got one of our own. We know how we value that. As I’ve said, we’re open for business,” Lynch said at a press conference. “We’ll listen to anything. But I’ve always said you don’t like being a 2-14 team, but you like having the second pick. Because I think it puts you in the drivers seat. A lot of options at your disposal. And we’ll explore every single one of them.”
The news comes after the 49ers were reportedly targeting running back Leonard Fournette with the No. 2 pick over other positions the Niners may need, for example quarterback.
San Francisco was 2-14 last season and completely overhauled management during the season.
There have been no teams linked to the No. 2 pick thus far.
