There has been a ton of rumors suggesting the Seattle Seahawks are looking to trade its star cornerback Richard Sherman. It would make sense under two premises: 1. Seattle needs to cut cap space somewhere and 2. Seattle needs to get younger.

You would think both of those things are lurking in the back of the front office brass’ minds everyday. However, the Seahawks were only gauging interest in Sherman on his behalf.

According to ESPN, Sherman initiated the trade talks despite assertions that there is no “bad blood” between him and the organization.

The price tag for Sherman is high. The Miami Herald reported that Seattle is looking for a “good player” and a high draft pick for the corner.
