The San Francisco 49ers released cornerback Tramaine Brock Friday, one day after he was arrested on a domestic violence charge involving his girlfriend, the Sacramento Bee reported.

The 28-year-old Brock started every game for the 49ers last season and is one of the few players remaining on the team who was there for the Niners’ Super Bowl run in 2013.

Brock’s girlfriend had “visible injuries,” the Santa Clara Police Department said after responding to a domestic disturbance Thursday. She did not receive medical attention, the Bee reported. The alleged incident occurred at Brock’s home. He posted bail Friday.

The 49ers front office did not comment on the matter.
