The Jacksonville Jaguars are “optimistic” about the possibility of acquiring Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Branden Albert, the NFL Network reported Friday.
Teams won’t be able to start talking trades until March 9. But the NFL Network reported that Albert’s primary destination looks like North Florida. Albert is reportedly on his way out of Miami one way or another.
The Miami Herald reported that one option could be a swap of Albert and Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas, who has been a complete bust for the Jaguars after having a few good seasons with the Denver Broncos.
