Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is expected to step down following the 2016-17 season, the Daily Mirror reported on Thursday.

The paper reported that Arsenal was expected to give Wenger a contract extension but everything changed when the Gunners were left in pieces following a 5-1 dismantling by Bayern Munich in UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri and AS Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim have already been named as replacements.

Wenger would finish with three Premier League titles and six FA Cups in his time at Arsenal. But he’s only won two cups since 2005.
