The San Diego Padres were still looking to add to the spring training roster hopes to find another pitcher by the time April rolls around.
Fox Sports reported Friday that the Padres were still in the mix for pitchers Travis Wood and Jered Weaver.
The Padres are likely to take one of the two. Wood is likely to come with a bigger price than Weaver. The former Angels pitcher has a $1.75 million deal on the table from San Diego.
Wood had a 2.95 ERA with the Chicago Cubs last season as a reliever. He appeared in 77 games for Chicago. Weaver started in 31 games for Los Angeles. He went 12-12 with a 5.06 ERA.
