Portland Trail Blazers forward Evan Turner broke the third metatarsal in his right hand Tuesday night in the team’s close win against the Dallas Mavericks, the team announced.

Turner could miss an indefinite amount of time with the injury, though it’s unclear at this point how long the injury could keep him out.

He is averaging 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game this season and is in the first year of a four-year, $70 million contract.

The Trail Blazers are in the playoff hunt and now will have to rely on Moe Harkless and Allen Crabbe more.
