The Philadelphia Eagles want offensive lineman Jason Peters to take a pay cut, ESPN reported Wednesday.

Peters has an $11.7 million salary cap hit to the Eagles. Philadelphia wants the number to come down a bit.

The Eagles are reportedly trying to save some face with their own ridiculous spending. The team signed offensive lineman Lane Johnson to a five-year, $56 million extension last season, but was hit with a 10-game PED suspension.

Peters is a six-time all-pro tackle and clearly has the leverage in this situation. He still has two years remaining on his current deal.
