The Minnesota Twins signed reliever Craig Breslow to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training Wednesday, Fox Sports reported.

Breslow told Fox Sports that he turned down better financial deals to sign with the Twins.

He started the 2016 season with the Miami Marlins, but ended up with the Texas Rangers organization by the end of the year. He recorded an abysmal 4.50 ERA with the Marlins and had a 7.01 ERA in the Rangers farm system.

The Twins hope Breslow truly worked on his mechanics in the offseason and he can bring better pitching to the bullpen.
