The Cleveland Browns released quarterback Josh McCown and cornerback Tramon Williams on Tuesday.
McCown said he plans to continue his career and latch onto another team that might need his services. The 37-year-old was set to make just over $4 million in 2017. Injuries and the continuous shuffle of Browns quarterbacks really hampered the last of his career. He threw for 3,209 yards in 13 games with the Browns over two years.
Williams was signed to a three-year deal in 2015, but never lived up to his contract. The 33-year-old defensive back was set to make nearly $7 million in 2017. He played in 22 games over the two season, but only managed two interceptions and 14 pass defenses.
