The Pittsburgh Steelers released cornerback Justin Gilbert on Monday after acquiring him for a first-round pick in the summer.

The former top 10 pick of the Cleveland Browns, Gilbert never really made the same impact the Steelers had hoped. The only recorded three tackles and was due for a $1.2 million roster bonus come March.

Gilbert has clearly become another NFL bust. He will look to try to rectify his career this summer by latching onto a team with a one-year deal.
