The Oklahoma City Thunder have expressed interest in a smorgasbord of players, Amico Hoops reported Monday.
The Thunder have tapped the markets of free agents Josh Smith and Derrick Williams and New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Denver Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler.
Smith has been playing in China and Williams was recently released by the Miami Heat. Chandler has been a staple with the Nuggets since he was traded by the Knicks in the original Anthony deal. Anthony has been in plenty of trade rumors, but it’s unclear if New York and Anthony could work together to facilitate a trade.
The Thunder making a shrewd move by the trade deadline seems likely to happen. But acquiring Anthony is an extreme long shot.
