The New Orleans Pelicans and the Philadelphia 76ers are in deep discussions about a trade involving former No. 3 pick Jahlil Okafor, ESPN reported Monday. Sources told the worldwide leader the trade was still being worked on.

Should both sides come to an agreement, Okafor could be going to New Orleans for Alexis Ajinca and a future first-round pick.

The Vertical reported that the Pelicans were also trying to ship Omer Asik in the deal, but Philadelphia doesn’t want him.

According to ESPN, the Pelicans were previously pursuing the Milwaukee Bucks’ Greg Monroe and the Brooklyn Nets’ Brook Lopez.
