LeBron James is trying to play Cleveland Cavaliers general manager and this time he doesn’t care who he has to give up to get Carmelo Anthony.

A source told the New York Daily News on Monday that James is pushing for the Cavaliers to acquire Anthony in a trade with the Knicks even if that means giving up Kevin Love. However, the Cavaliers have a specific role for Love and don’t want to trade him.

New York wants Love from Cleveland in a trade for Anthony. James has been very vocal about wanting a “playmaker” so he doesn’t have to play 40 minutes a night.

This is an interesting development in the backseat general manager’s office.
