Somehow, some way, you knew there was going to be some connection between the Super Bowl and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft told Fox News Sunday that he hopes President Donald Trump, a friend of his, can retrieve his Super Bowl ring from Putin.
“I do have an emotional attachment to that ring,” Kraft said.
According to Page Six, Kraft left Putin try his ring on in 2005. Putin, surrounded by three KGB agents, pocketed the $25,000 ring and never returned it.
Kraft said he would be willing to get a special custom made Super Bowl ring for Putin if he returns the 2005 Super Bowl ring.
“I was willing to have one made with his name on it. Maybe we will have the new president bring it to him when he connects with him,” Kraft said.
