The Minnesota Timberwolves received some tough news Saturday. The team announced that high-flying guard Zach LaVine will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL.

LaVine suffered the injury Friday night in the Timberwolves’ loss against the Detroit Pistons. An MRI revealed the tear, and he will have to have surgery to repair it.

LaVine was averaging 18.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game before the injury. He’s set for surgery at a later date.
