USC Trojans football was reignited this season following the announcement that freshman Sam Darnold was going to take over the reigns as starting quarterback.

With nothing else to do, the season’s opening day starter Max Browne knew he had to transfer and will play a year at Pittsburgh, he announced Thursday.

Browne threw for 507 yards and two touchdowns this year in nine games.
