P.J. Fleck led Western Michigan to an undefeated season and potentially a huge bowl game that will increase the school’s visibility. The Broncos won’t make it to the College Football Playoff, but we’ll see where the bowl committee places them.
Fleck’s next challenge looks like it could come in the Big Ten Conference.
According to WTHR-TV, the Broncos head coach is expected to take a job with Purdue at the end of the year.
Football Scoop reported that Fleck wasn’t expected to talk to teams until after the Mid-American title game. The website had also reported earlier that Fleck was negotiating a deal with Western Michigan to stay, per Saturday Tradition.
If Fleck is the guy, he’ll take over a Purdue team that has under achieved for the last few years. Darrell Hazell was fired after putting up only nine wins in four seasons.
