It appears that Texas head football coach Charlie Strong will be fired Saturday after a disappointing loss Friday to TCU, according to Horns Digest and Sports Illustrated.

Strong had been on the hot seat since entering the season and even after an upset win against Notre Dame — the seat kept getting hotter. It culminated last week after Texas lost to Kansas — the Jayhawks’ first FBS win years.

All indications now point to Strong’s dismissal and the start of a new era in Longhorns football history
