The Minnesota Twins and free agent catcher Jason Castro agreed to a three-year, $24.5 million deal on Tuesday.

Fox Sports first reported the deal.

Castro spent the first six years of his career with the Houston Astros. He has a career .232/.309/.390 slash line with 62 homers and 212 RBI. He was once the Astros’ top catching prospect.

He immediately fills an everyday need for the Twins moving forward.
