New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker will be out for at least eight months after undergoing surgery on hips Tuesday and with a separate shoulder surgery on the way, the team announced.

Decker tore his rotator cuff on Oct. 12 and was placed on the injured reserve. An MRI revealed that he would also need hip surgery. The recovery process from the hip ailment will be six months and the recovery from shoulder surgery is expected to take eight months.

The Jets had a disastrous Monday night performance against the Arizona Cardinals, losing 28-3. The Jets are now 1-5.
